Welcome to Check Elsewhere.
These Terms of Service govern your use of the Check Elsewhere website, browser extension, comparison tools, content, and related services. By using Check Elsewhere, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the service.
1. What Check Elsewhere does
Check Elsewhere helps users compare booking options for hotels, stays, and accommodation listings.
You may provide a booking/listing URL, stay details, dates, guest counts, visible prices, or other reference information. Check Elsewhere may then look for matching accommodation options, direct hotel websites, booking providers, hotel data providers, or other relevant sources.
Check Elsewhere is an informational comparison tool only.
We are not a hotel, travel agent, online travel agency, booking provider, tour operator, property manager, or payment processor for accommodation bookings.
2. No bookings are made through Check Elsewhere
Check Elsewhere does not sell hotel rooms or accommodation stays directly.
If you click a third-party booking link, you will leave Check Elsewhere and interact with the relevant third-party website. Any booking, payment, cancellation, refund, chargeback, dispute, loyalty benefit, tax, fee, or customer support issue is between you and that third party.
You are responsible for reviewing the final price, cancellation policy, taxes, fees, room type, guest details, dates, and booking terms before completing any reservation.
3. Prices, availability, and accuracy
We try to provide useful and accurate information, but accommodation prices and availability change frequently.
Prices shown on Check Elsewhere may come from different sources, including third-party data providers, public booking pages, direct hotel websites, partner links, browser-extension captures, user-entered information, cached data, or other sources.
Unless clearly stated otherwise:
- prices are not guaranteed;
- availability is not guaranteed;
- taxes and fees may differ;
- currency conversion may be approximate;
- exact room matching is not verified;
- cancellation terms may change;
- the final booking page is the source of truth.
If Check Elsewhere shows a price range, that usually means multiple visible room or rate options were found for the same property, dates, and guests. It does not mean we have verified the exact same room type as another platform.
4. Official sites and direct booking links
Check Elsewhere may identify websites that appear to be official hotel sites, direct booking pages, property-manager pages, booking engines, hotel portals, online travel agencies, metasearch sites, or other providers.
Labels such as “official site”, “direct site”, “same-property page”, “hotel portal”, “cheapest found”, or similar are based on the data and evidence available to us at the time.
These labels are not guarantees. You should always verify the website, booking terms, payment method, cancellation policy, and business identity before booking.
5. Browser extension
The Check Elsewhere browser extension is designed to help you capture stay details that are visible to you on the page you are viewing.
The extension does not make bookings, does not guarantee prices, and does not verify that every captured field is correct.
You should review and edit extracted details before submitting them to Check Elsewhere.
The extension is not intended to bypass access controls, robot checks, CAPTCHAs, login walls, paywalls, or technical restrictions on third-party websites.
6. Third-party websites and providers
Check Elsewhere may link to or display information from third-party websites, booking platforms, hotel providers, data providers, affiliate networks, and travel partners.
We do not control third-party websites or their content, prices, availability, policies, fees, checkout flows, customer service, or security practices.
Your use of third-party websites is subject to their own terms and policies.
We are not responsible for losses, disputes, errors, cancellations, overbookings, unavailable rooms, changed prices, payment issues, or other problems caused by third-party websites or providers.
7. Affiliate links and commercial relationships
Some links on Check Elsewhere may be affiliate links, sponsored links, partner links, or otherwise monetized.
This means we may earn a commission or referral fee if you click a link or make a booking through a third-party provider.
We aim to keep comparisons useful and transparent. Paid relationships should not be interpreted as a guarantee that a provider is the cheapest, best, safest, or most suitable option for you.
8. Usage limits and paid check packs
We may apply usage limits to protect the service from abuse and to manage provider costs.
Limits may apply per IP address, browser, device, extension install, check pack, or other reasonable technical identifier.
If paid check packs are offered, they allow additional checks according to the terms shown at purchase. Check packs do not guarantee that a result will include a cheaper option, a live price, or a successful match.
We may refuse, suspend, or limit checks that appear abusive, automated, fraudulent, excessive, or harmful to the service.
9. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use Check Elsewhere for unlawful purposes;
- abuse, overload, reverse engineer, or attack the service;
- use bots, scrapers, automated bulk requests, or similar tools without permission;
- attempt to bypass rate limits, access controls, security measures, or provider restrictions;
- submit false, harmful, misleading, or malicious data;
- use Check Elsewhere to infringe third-party rights;
- copy, resell, or commercially exploit our data or service without permission.
10. User-submitted information
You are responsible for the information you submit to Check Elsewhere, including URLs, prices, dates, guest counts, screenshots, extension-imported data, and any manually edited details.
You confirm that you have the right to submit that information and that it is not unlawful, confidential, or harmful.
We may use submitted information to provide the service, improve matching, debug errors, prevent abuse, and improve product quality, as described in our Privacy Policy.
11. Intellectual property
Check Elsewhere, including its name, design, code, content, interface, branding, and software, is owned by us or our licensors.
You may use the service for personal travel planning and lawful comparison purposes.
You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from Check Elsewhere without permission, except where allowed by law.
12. No professional advice
Check Elsewhere provides informational travel comparison assistance only.
We do not provide legal, financial, insurance, safety, fraud-prevention, or travel-agent advice.
You are responsible for deciding where and whether to book.
13. Service availability
We may change, suspend, limit, or discontinue any part of Check Elsewhere at any time.
We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or always available.
Some features may depend on third-party providers, APIs, browser extension stores, search providers, hotel data providers, or affiliate networks. If those services change or become unavailable, Check Elsewhere may also be affected.
14. Disclaimer
Check Elsewhere is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, availability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and reliability.
We do not guarantee that using Check Elsewhere will save you money, find a direct booking option, find the cheapest price, or identify every available booking provider.
15. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Check Elsewhere and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages, including lost savings, lost bookings, trip disruption, booking disputes, payment issues, or loss of data.
In addition, and to the maximum extent permitted by law, Check Elsewhere is not responsible for losses caused by third-party booking websites, changed prices, unavailable rooms, incorrect third-party data, booking disputes, cancellation policies, taxes, fees, payment issues, or decisions you make after leaving Check Elsewhere.
Check Elsewhere is an informational comparison tool only. The final booking page is always the source of truth.
If you paid Check Elsewhere directly, our total liability for claims relating to that paid service is limited to the amount you paid us for that service, unless the law requires otherwise.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some of the above may not apply to you.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time.
If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify users, such as updating the date at the top of this page or showing a notice on the website.
Your continued use of Check Elsewhere after changes become effective means you accept the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Italy, unless mandatory consumer protection laws in your country require otherwise.
Any disputes will be handled by the courts of Italy, unless mandatory law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.
